Be part of the solution for a sustainable planet.
We are at a time of ecological and climate crisis.
If your network, members or congregation are looking for practical ways to contribute to a more sustainable planet, Wisdom In Nature can help…
Our expertise and transformational trainings will provide a strong foundation for meaningful action. We will train your network to develop the awareness and tools to help regenerate the earth and communities. You also have the option of trainings simultaneously rooted in the richness of the Islamic tradition.
Humankind is embedded in a dominant system that is out of step with the natural order, out of step with our fitrah. The consequence of this is fasad (disasters, corruption) manifesting throughout the planet. While the repercussions are widespread, the disturbances also tend to have a greater impact on the more marginalised in our society.
At Wisdom In Nature, we offer holistic trainings to cultivate the awareness and teach skills that inspire practical action, for individuals and organisations.
Our permaculture trainings will teach you the foundations of a practical system for regenerating the earth and communities. By maximising relationships in living systems, permaculture has empowered people worldwide to develop dynamic, resilient projects that work with nature, rather than against it. It can be applied whether as an individual, or as a tool for collaborative initiatives across a network.
Permaculture can be used in many contexts and scales, whether:
the home and garden
organisation or team
mosque or community centre
life or career transition
people-based community projects (e.g. community garden, intentional communities)
and more…
It will help you restore wholeness and mizan (balance) to our shared planet. You will deepen your relationship with nature, and be better able to contribute to a more sustainable future for us and our children.
A one day or two-day training:
While our trainings can be adapted to your needs, below is one example:
What is Permaculture?
Introduction to Permaculture ethics and principles
Nature observation – Slowing down and Being a ‘Witness to Nature’

Permaculture & Islam: Combination or Solo Training?
Our Permaculture training, can be delivered alone (as above), or it can be integrated with Islamic Ecology.
See below…
We can help you decide which would be most appropriate for your team or organisation when you enquire.
Permaculture integrated with Islamic Ecology
Back in 2010, Wisdom In Nature delivered what was probably the first Islam & Permaculture training anywhere in the world!
Our permaculture trainings can be taken alone or integrated with Islamic ecology. For Islam is a rich, spiritual tradition that locates humankind within the wider ecology. It has relationship at its heart, making it a natural partner to permaculture!
This integrated approach enables the application of permaculture rooted in a spiritual framework. Through an Islam and Permaculture course, you will participate in a profound, life-changing experience that is also fun!
On our courses, we welcome people from all faiths and beliefs, and draw on diversity as a strength. Our trainings enable Muslims to better understand and apply their Islam to the times we are in, and empower all participants, Muslim or otherwise, to apply deeply spiritual values to their unique situation and place of power.
Furthermore, we specialise in facilitating experiential, engaging learning exercises. This will include interactive exercises in small groups. This engaged quality of our trainings helps catalyse discoveries (the ‘aha’ experience), reinforces learning of principles, and supports a much more transformative experience than a lecture only method.
Time-frame: Typically 2 days
Still not sure?
If you’re still not sure which training would be most appropriate for your team, simply get in touch and we can explore together. Through a shared conversation, the training that would be most suitable will become clear.
